What a pleasure to have Amy Axelrod at Elolf Elementary in San Antonio, Texas. The children, as well as the teachers, enjoyed a full day of presentations that ranged from a writing workshop with our fourth graders to a story time with our kindergarteners! Now two weeks after Amy's visit, you can still hear teacher's telling their students, " Remember what Mrs. Axelrod said," and children saying, "I liked it when Mrs. Axelrod told us how she wrote that book." We will never again read a book by Amy Axelrod without remembering the wonderful opportunity we had to meet this most talented author and presenter!

The Sharon City School District hosted Amy Axelrod on April 16, 2002. It was a phenomenal experience for everyone. Ms. Axelrod's presentation really sparked the creative spirit in all of us. Her books came to life through her slide show and dialogue. She captured everyone's mind and heart. The Pigs Will Be Pigs Series correlated with our math and literacy standards. We were able to promote not just the love of reading, but also the love of math. Amy Axelrod + Books = Fun. Her visit truly was a treat for both students and teachers. She is a gem!

Amy was one of the most positive events at my school. Every student was enthralled; Amy is one of those unique individuals who is able to speak to every grade level in elementary schools. The kids loved her almost as much as my staff. She’s terrific!

Amy Axelrod’s visit to our school was highly anticipated. We enjoyed every minute of her time with us. Amy was very well prepared, and shared a slide presentation that exhibited her sense of humor, along with a keen appreciation of family life... her own family that translates into wonderfully funny Pig family stories, while at the same time shows how math is everywhere in our lives, and math is FUN!

On behalf of our P.S. 71 Family, I thank you for sharing so generously your time and remarkable talents. We prepared for your visit by reading your books, so we knew we would like you, especially your sense of humor. We also realized that we would probably learn a great deal about writing and publishing. We did not expect, however, such warmth, honesty, and such a unique personal perspective. You have touched our hearts, enriched our minds, and inspired our souls — and we are truly grateftul!

The Tyler Independent School District contracted with Amy Axelrod for sixteen presentations to our elementary campuses. Each session was superb! Our district regularly has authors visit campuses. Without a doubt, I can say that Amy’s presentation was one of the most enjoyable ones we ever had. I highly recommend Amy Axelrod as a presenter and speaker for any campus that may be looking for an author. All students will enjoy and benefit from her presentation.

Ms. Axelrod was exceptional in regard to connecting with students. During a long break between sessions she went in and read to all the first grade classes. Still wanting to do more, we quickly organized a “lunch with the author”. She wanted to utilize every minute of her day with us. She is very aware of curriculum. Her desire to produce materials for the classroom teacher, which will be useful to them, is very evident. Amy obviously enjoys presenting and the students respond.
